Nara is located one hour or so of Kyoto and Osaka and has some of the oldest Buddhist temples in Japan and was the first capital of Japan (710). Next to the Buddha of Todaiji Temple is a column with a hole. Legend has it that he who passes through that hole will be great blessings in your next life. Children have no problems, but more of a tourist has been left stranded and with out problems.
