First Time in Brisbane

This was my first time in Brisbane, as a backpacker nonetheless, and Brisbane knows how to welcome backpackers to its hip city. The activities and nightlife in Brisbane are endless, making this an adventurous trip, perfect for any backpacker. Recently, on my trip to Brisbane, my friends and I stayed in the heart of the city. If you are interested in a lively nightlife, this is the place to be.

We stayed at the Brisbane Backpackers Hostel. We selected this resort because it of its close proximity to many of the attractions in Brisbane, most within walking distance. These attractions include the Southbank, Brisbane Convention Centre and The City Centre. Additionally, the Brisbane Backpackers has a courtesy bus that runs hourly to the Roma Street Transit Centre and the Central Business District. The best part of the bus is that it is free! This resort is a perfect choice because it embraces the lifestyle of backpackers. It offers internet, a restaurant and bar, laundry services, communal kitchen and a 24 hour front desk. The restaurant is affordable and the food was excellent! The Brisbane Backpackers has a helpful front desk that will help you and your buddies schedule any and every adventure that you are looking to do in Brisbane.
A few of the trips that my friends and I took were a rainforest tour, whale watching and even parachuting.

The night life in The City of Brisbane is never-ending with the abundance of pubs, sports bars, backpacker venues and clubs. Brisbane can get a bit rowdy and you will definitely be able to find an enjoyable location no matter what night of the week. A few of the places we went to were the Down Under Bar, Adrenaline Bar, and PJ O’Briens.

Some of the attractions that are located near the Brisbane Backpackers is the multitude of markets, the City Botanical Gardens, and the Fortitude Valley and China Town. With easy online booking and group rates, the Brisbane Backpackers was an ideal selection for a backpacker that is looking to get the most out of their stay in Brisbane.
